REGISTRATION INFORMATION
You will register online via NZ Football’s MyComet system.
STEP 1: Your MyCOMET profile
NOTE: If you require help with logging in, or need to change your email address, contact registrations@nzfootball.co.nz
Did you play football for Matamata Swifts AFC in 2019?
- You can register to play using your MyCOMET profile. Click here, then login using your username and password.
- If you cannot remember your username and/or password you can click the Forgot username / password? link in the login box.
Have you played football before, but NOT for Matamata Swifts AFC?
- You can register to play using your MyCOMET profile. Unless you were Red Flagged by last season’s club there is no need to request a transfer. Click here, then login using your username and password.
- If you cannot remember your username and/or password you can click the Forgot username / password? link in the login box.
Are you new to football?
- Create a new MyCOMET profile here – Click the Sign Up link at the bottom right of the login box. Once your MyCOMET profile has been set up, you can then register to play.
STEP 2: Register
Once you are logged in to your MyCOMET profile, navigate to the Register section of your profile. Please have your credit/debit card ready to make your online payment.
[When you sign-in to MyCOMET to register you’ll be prompted to update your personal information before continuing your registration. Please click the EDIT button, then ensure you complete all required fields. This may include some fields that are in the bottom half of the screen so you may need to scroll down to the bottom of the page. Only when all required fields have been completed will you be able to Save the information, and you’ll get a confirmation pop-up message of the successfully completed save.]
- Select Matamata Swifts AFC from the Choose seller drop-down menu.
- Then select the green shopping cart icon of the players’ appropriate grade.
- Then, click the green Proceed to checkout button at the bottom of the page.
- Then, follow the instructions to complete your online payment and complete the player’s registration.
- Once payment has been completed you will receive a confirmation email.
NOTE: Please contact the club here if you do not have a credit/debit card and need to make your registration payment by cash, cheque or eftpos.
If you need personal assistance with registration we’ll be available to help at the Matamata Domain clubrooms on Thursday March 5 (6-7pm) or Sunday March 15 (prior to Junior Grading – from 11am to 12 noon).
STEP 3: Your fees
2020 REGISTRATION FEES
- Junior & Youth Junior Mini Kickers (4-7 yrs): $25.00 (players born in 2013 to 2016)
- Junior (8 yrs): $25.00 (players born in 2012)
- Junior & Youth Players (9-14 yrs): $80.00 (players born in 2006 – 2011).
- Payment of fees must be made at the time of registration.

JUNIOR GRADING (8th to 13th/14th grade players) Sunday March 15 at the Matamata Domain.
- 8th Grade (DOB 2012) 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
- 9th Grade & 10th Grade (DOB 2011 & 2010) 1.30pm to 3pm.
- 11th, 12th, 13th/14th Grade (DOB 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009) 3pm to 4.30pm.
- Note: no grading for Mini-Kickers. More information HERE.
We realise that, due to various other commitments at this time of year, not everyone can make it to grading. Please let us know at admin@matamataswifts.co.nz if your child won’t be there.
