The 2015 season ain’t over just yet.

The Waikato Stud Matamata Swifts and Richardson Racing Stables Swifts Reserves have another Domain double-header on Saturday when they welcome teams from different parts of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Federation.

The Swifts host a Waikato Unicol side that is on something of a roll after pushing WaiBOP Premiership winners, Cambridge, all the way last Saturday, before scoring nine goals in completing a home and away double over Katikati on Sunday and Tuesday. So they’ll be battle hardened, without doubt, and confident. But will they be a bit pooped in taking on their fourth game in eight days? Find out tomorrow. The match kicks off at 2.45pm.

In the early game, the ressies host one of the WaiBOP Championship’s top two sides, Kawerau Sports. The visitors can confirm promotion to the Premiership with a win so this promises to be a heck of the game. The reserves have done well at home this season, however, and this will be their last opportunity of the season to take the scalp of one of the top sides. The match kicks off at 12.30pm.

A number of our junior teams head to Hamilton over the weekend for the annual end of season 5-a-side tournament. We wish them well.

On Sunday the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies, fresh from victory in the Waikato Ladies Plate final, head to Otorohanga for their penultimate league game of the season. The ladies won 4-2 down there earlier in the season and will be looking to repeat the feat so they finish the season strong.

Also, we’re looking forward to next Saturday’s Swiftacular day of football. All three senior teams will be at home, with the ladies playing at 10.30am, the reserves at 12.30pm and the Swifts at 2.45pm. Put that one in your diary.
